“…arresting.”

“‘Wheel Of Love’ is a wistful, nostalgic addition to the band’s catalog. Much like “Dead Man’s Suit,” the track finds the band reflecting on the constant passage of time, but where their previous single meditated on mortality, here the band explores the titular wheel of love. [Altameda] recall moments of fondly remembered joy, calling to mind vignettes with friends, family, and lovers and tracing them through the years. Meanwhile, keening pedal steel and gorgeous strings back the pair’s nostalgic reverie, evoking the warmth and comfort of the song’s treasured memories.”

“This album finds two musicians so affected by their own personal experiences that, inadvertently, these songs are both painful and transcendent, brilliantly balancing a raw sound with gentle, atmospheric arrangements.” 9/10

“‘Dead Man’s Suit’ lives in this eerie idea of impermanence much in the same way the band’s vocalist Troy Snaterse now lives in the titular suit, reflecting upon mortality while his backing band provides subtle instrumentation in the form of dampened piano and swelling strings.”

"[Altameda] celebrates country bliss, folk emphasis and pub-rock enthusiasm." ★★★½

Time Hasn’t Changed You…is one of the first great releases of the year.…reminiscent of acts like the Jayhawks and early Wilco. They write the kind of straightforward songs that balance heartfelt lyricism and rock and roll.”
